Due to the coronavirus crisis, students have not received the orientation period they had hoped for two years in a row. That is why the Faculty of Humanities is organising a Warm Welcome Week from 2 to 5 November for all students who started their degree programme in 2020 and 2021.

Event details of Warm Welcome Week
Start date 2 November 2021
End date 5 November 2021

It will be a week full of various activities, organised by Alpha, SCIO, Helios, Kanvas and VOX-POP. The focus of the week will be on meeting each other. It is an opportunity for new Humanities students to become acquainted (or reacquainted) with each other, the study associations, the campus and other bodies linked to the UvA. Meet fellow students and lecturers during a game of table tennis, begin the day in a ‘zen-like’ manner with a yoga lessons in the morning, and give free rein to your creativity during a workshop on printing canvas bags. Make use of all your knowledge by taking part in a pub quiz, win the most unique prizes during a special bingo session or exchange a (beloved) book for another gem at the ‘book swap’. And much, much more!
