About Lunar New Year
By some, Lunar New Year is also known as Chinese New Year. It is celebrated on the first to the fifteenth day of the first month of the Chinese calendar. The first day is the day of the second (sometimes the third) new moon after the winter solstice. This Spring Festival is also celebrated by other peoples, such as Vietnamese, Koreans and Mongols. The Lunar New Year celebrates the arrival of spring and is a time of year to reunite with loved ones.

Practical
This celebration is for students and staff with an interest in this tradition and cultural exchange. Admission is free and registration is not required. Workshops are on a first-come, first-served basis. Location: VOX-POP, BG3 - ground floor.
