Looking to organise an event?
Are you a student or alumnus with an original idea for an event? Are you a teacher or researcher at the UvA and do you want to use our space to make your research come alive? Are you an ambitious emerging artist living in the University Quarter who would like to create an exhibition in VOX-POP?
Then we are looking for you! VOX-POP's cultural programme is co-created together with students, alumni, staff members and neighborhood residents. Your ideas are always welcome! You can send us your plan via voxpop@uva.nl. We aim to reply to requests for our space within one week.
Please note: we only consider applications for the next academic year from July onwards.
You are allowed to use our space for free if your event:
- The programme is accessible to anyone, free of charge;
- The programme has a link with the humanities;
- The programme is cultural: attention is dedicated to culture, art, heritage or creative expression;
- The programme is polyphonic: there is room for various perspectives and it contributes to a nuanced and dynamic understanding of the central topics.

Standard steps when applying for use of the VOX-POP space.
- File an event request by filling out the application form below and sending it to voxpop@uva.nl.
- Within one to maximum two weeks we will reply to your request.
- As soon as the date is confirmed, we schedule in an appointment to visit VOX-POP.
- During the viewing, we will arrange the final practical things.
