During this gathering, the focus will be on connection, the exchange of knowledge, and sharing personal experiences. Various speakers will draw on their expertise to contextualise the political, ideological, and moral questions underlying the current crisis. Specific attention will be paid to how we can navigate a lack of reliable information and what international solidarity means in a situation that is so complex and often polarised.
Alongside this academic contextualisation, there will be space to share personal experiences and concerns in a safe environment. Together, we want to explore what is needed to optimally support our diverse university community – and in particular those with family, friends, or other ties to Iran. You are most welcome to join us on this afternoon to listen, share, and reflect on current events.
Speakers to be announced.
The dialogue will take place on 12 March from 16:30 to 18:30 at VOX-POP. A vegetarian soup will be provided upon arrival. This event is organised by the Faculty of Humanities and the Faculty Diversity Office.
Please register in advance via the registration form so that we can estimate requirements for catering. This programme is open to all university staff and students. You will be asked to show your student or staff ID card upon entry.
