How does sound connect us to one another and to the world around us? And what might we hear when we take animals or landscapes, rather than humans, as our starting point?

VOX-POP

For their first Close Up evening, VOX-POP’s new team of student programmers invites you to explore how sound and music can help us experience other perspectives. Through conversation and live music, the evening brings artistic practice into dialogue with academic insights. We welcome Wazo Bean, a band whose songs take the perspectives of animals and geological formations as their starting point.

The Close Up evenings are developed by a new team of student programmers each year. Together with academics, artists and professionals, they explore social questions through cultural events at VOX-POP. Join them for an evening of listening, conversation and connection.
