For centuries, botanical scientists have relied on artists to make accurate drawings and paintings of plants for scientific and educational purposes. In this workshop, natural and scientific illustrator Hanna Haring will teach you how to closely observe flora and fauna and accurately depict natural life in pencil and water colour. Let yourself be inspired by the beauty of the petunia flower and follow in the footsteps of such artists as Maria Sibylla Merian.

Hanna Haring

Hanna Haring has always been passionate about the beauty and complexity of the natural world. After studying biology she felt like she needed to find a way to pass this passion on to others. Combining this wish with her passion for drawing seemed like a natural path. This is how she found her way to scientific illustration; the visual storytelling of research, showing an entire process in one image.

NB. Due to limited places registration for this event is mandatory
