Saturday 1 April 2023
Since the 1950s, scientific research on the petunia has been taking place in the greenhouses of Science Park. This is where the magic happens: where the plants are grown, crossbred, and reproduced, where seeds are stored, and where important scientific research on plant biology and genetics continues to be carried out. On Saturday 1 April, the greenhouses open their doors to the public for a glimpse behind the scenes. Join one of the tours by lead scientists from the Plant Development and Genetics research group and get to know the story behind the largest collection of petunia genotypes in the world.
NB. Due to limited places registration for this event is mandatory.
