Free creative workshops at VOX-POP

VOX-POP presents ArtiShock. Every month VOX-POP transforms the space into a workshop for chaos and creativity. From DJ classes to linocut workshops, each time you practice with a different art form. During this edition, we will be crocheting! This workshop is organised in collaboration with study association VOS Linguistic and is open to everyone.

About the workshop

Crocheting is about slowing down, a silent protest against the idea that everything must be readily available. Experience the making of slow fashion with Weera Koopman of Crochet with a W! This workshop is suitable for beginners with no crochet experience. After the workshop, you will be able to make your own ascessory. Free snacks and drinks included.

Practical information

Participation is free. Doors are open at 16.30 and the workshop lasts until 18.00. Location: VOX-POP, binnengasthuisstraat 9. The workshop is in English and in Dutch. 

Weera Koopman (Crochet met W)

Crochet met W was founded by Weera Koopman, with a love for colours, sustainability and slow fashion. In the world of crochet, nothing is rushed. It's a deliberate act of slowing down, a rebellion against the capitalist idea that everything should be instantly available.  Through crochet workshops for beginners, Weeda wants to share the joy of crochet and inspire others to join the slow fashion movement. Her mission is to build a welcoming space where creative (and non-creative!) people can connect and discover the joy of crochet.
