How do you mourn something that wasn't there? Very few people like being disappointed - by themselves, or by the other person. It is tempting to ignore or bypass disappointment. But is that actually desirable? In this workshop, you will have the chance to look at, explore and celebrate your own disappointment with different eyes.

At a time when we are bombarded to death with unrealistic dreamscapes and sky-high expectations, even the more contented person finds it hard to escape disappointment. Disappointment is a special kind of mourning - it is the mourning for something that has not happened, not been. It is the mourning for an idea. During this workshop, through creative exercises with inquisitive maker Esmé Calis, you will work with your disappointments. What do they tell about your desires? Your expectations? And how can you share them with other people? Aren't disappointments actually something to cherish?

Esmé Calis is an inquisitive creator, dreamer, thinker, doer and feeler. As a creator and designer of ideas, she is doomed to face disappointments. Those who dream of changing things are assured that it will not always go the way you hope. In recent years, she has practised not putting away her disappointments, but becoming curious about them.
