For an upcoming exhibition in September 2026 at VOX-POP in Amsterdam, we are seeking creative practitioners who would like to exhibit an existing work. All art forms and disciplines are welcome.

About the project

This exhibition forms part of a multidisciplinary project by student-resident Mohamed El Hirech, supported and guided by VOX-POP. The project highlights the diversity within the Moroccan community in the Netherlands. It brings together work by practitioners who reflect on their cultural identity or identities, connecting past and present in order to create space for intercultural dialogue, recognition and connection.

About VOX-POP

VOX-POP is the creative hub of the Faculty of Humanities at the University of Amsterdam. It is an open and accessible space where art, culture and the humanities come together. Experimentation and talent development are central to its mission.

How to apply

Are you interested in the project and do you recognise yourself in the theme and profile outlined above?

Please send the following before Monday 8 June to voxpop@uva.nl:

1. A short introduction to you as an artist;
2. A brief statement outlining your work and its relationship to the theme;
3. Visual material or documentation of your work, including the work you would like to present in the exhibition.
