Exploring Desire and Representation
On this evening, we are thrilled to welcome Jacob Engelberg, who will lead a conversation about queer erotic literature, its history, and its role in reshaping societal perceptions of desire. We will also be joined by poets Steff Geelen and Hannah Chris, who will perform their erotic stories from Extra Extra, giving voice to the complex and diverse expressions of queer sexuality. Additionally, Sara Janssen (on the recommendation of Jacob Engelberg) will join the conversation, adding depth to the exploration of queer erotica in contemporary writing.
This event is part of Queer Bodies, a program series curated by writer, theater maker, and filmmaker Tine Tabak. In their work, Tine explores the queer body as a source of knowledge and storytelling, merging art, philosophy, and literature. With Queer Bodies, they bring together artists and academics to deepen and make queer perspectives visible.
Join us for an evening of open dialogue, intimate readings, and a celebration of queer eroticism in all its forms.
