Color to the campus!
What happens when public space becomes a canvas? How can visual storytelling reflect the voice of a community? VOX-POP invites you to explore these questions through action. Join us for a mural workshop led by illustrator and animator Cox Janssens, where we’ll turn that blank construction wall into a colorful, collective work of art.
More than just painting, this is a conversation — about space, visibility, expression, and the role of collective creativity in society. The project draws inspiration from humanistic themes like public discourse, identity, and the relationship between the city and its citizens.
Whether you have an artistic background or simply a curious mind, you’re welcome to take part. The workshop is free, but registration is required.
Practical
We gather at VOX-POP at 16.00. The paint is water-based and washable, but we do recommend you put on an old t-shirt or blouse.
Since a very young age, Conform Cox (Cox Janssens) has been driven by exploring, learning, and creating. She wanted to know about everything in detail. To become a Homo Universales was in her head a good choice for a job. She never lost this eagerness to be a know-it-all: it made her work in different creatives fields, being an illustrator, animator, graphic designer, podcast maker, and singer-songwriter. Cox always tries to implement topics in her work that are close to her heart: the treatment of animals, our impact on climate change, and several social issues. Through in-depth visual translations, she shows different perspectives on several norms and hopes to spark curiosity.
